Compressor
Control System
Compressor
controls have a major influence upon overall system economy
and reliability. Consequently, Bauer controls are designed
to maximize compressor performance throughout the load cycle.
Bauer
controls feature:
- Starting
- on startup, the inlet control remains closed for an adjustable
time interval. The result is unloaded starting and lower
peak amperage loads
- Idling
- when operating unloaded, the oil sump is blown down and
oil circulation is reduced in order to limit unloaded B.H.P.
consumption
- Shutdown
- at shutdown, the oil sump is blown down and the flooded
air-end is drained in order to further reduce starting torque
- Modulation
- modulating inlets are available for applications where
performance and efficiency are improved with this type of
control
- Aftercoolers
- rather than a stacked configuration, Bauer integrates
its coolers for parallel cooling air flow
The
Bauer system features:
All
piping is system integrated. This means hot oil flow is restricted
to the sump, air-end and cooler. No flexible hoses are used.
The result is efficient cooling, separation, and reduced potential
for leaks. Furthermore, system operation is simplified requiring
on 1 control air line.
