Hiross has more experience than any other company in the world today in the design, development, and manufacture of compressed air refrigeration dryers. The operating principle is to cool the air down to a temperature of 35-39 degrees F, which experience has shown is the ideal dewpoint for most applications.

The Drystar MDE range of compressed air dryers represents the latest
deve lopment in the field, combining the most advanced refrigeration air
drying technology with modern design, to offer the ideal solution to air drying problems in medium and large industrial applications. Some of the outstanding features and benefits of this range are mentioned below:

• Higher efficiency, that is a much higher air drying capacity per kW installed, or in other words, energy saving
• Low quantity of refrigerant in the refrigeration circuit, thanks to the use of a direct expansion evaporator
• Greater flexibility in the control system achieved by a capillary expansion tube plus a hot gas by-pass valve, which guarantees a constant dewpoint for all air flows within the rated capacity, at the prevailing inlet temperature and pressure. However, if the rated capacity of the dryer is exceeded at any time, the control system will automatically adjust the dewpoint to a higher temperature in order to match the higher load with the available refrigeration capacity.
